BANKLABS | Corporate Identity
BACKGROUND
BankLabs offers a very unique service to local and regional banks. The company's founders are well known in the field of asset management and risk control and have developed a proprietary formula and accompanying software system that can be used to evaluate risk. BankLabs, therefore, is able to offer smaller banks a level of risk management advice that is currently available only to the largest national banks from upper-tier consulting firms.
CHALLENGE
As they were planning their corporate launch, BankLabs came to us for a logo, a corporate identity package and for marketing consultation. Because of our work with several local and regional banks BankLabs' target audience they knew we'd have a good understanding of their audience and be able to work quickly to develop appropriate marketing materials.
STRATEGY
Position BankLabs as a high-end, secure, expert consultant that will enable smaller banks to level the playing field to their advantage. Tactically, the strategy was to begin with the logo and corporate identity system, then we will roll out the website design and direct mail.
CREATIVE SOLUTION
The logo created needed be reflect a company that is stable, solid and secure. It was important that nothing look temporary or "start up," since that would shake bankers' confidence in making initial purchases during the launch phase. As a result, we selected a bold color and type for the wordmark that reflected stability. The graphical mark designed is a stylized version of the square root sign with stock ticker tape in the background. Next, the logo was rolled out to the stationery system, and will, of course, be applied to all future marketing efforts.
